RFID Cards
Contactless cards offer a flexible transfer of data between data carrier and reader. Data carriers such as contactless smart cards, tags or labels) are based on transponders. These are longlife heavy duty code storage media which store the data on the smallest of surfaces.
The data carriers are contactless, i.e. there is no contact between the chip and the reader/computer. There is a chip and an antenna. The chip lies protected inside the card. The data stored in the chip or on the PC are transmitted by electromagnetic waves. There are two types of data transfer: low frequency transfer with 125 KHz and high frequnecy transfer with 13,56 MHz (in the future with 800/900 MHz and 2,45 GHz).
Contactless storage media are especially suitable for access control, time recording etc. This kind of contactless cards can be made into Rfid cards and sim cards.
